About FastCalc

A calculator should show its work.

Most calculator sites hand you a number and nothing else — no formula, no example, no source. You're left to simply trust it. FastCalc was built on the opposite belief: every result should be something you can verify for yourself.

Verified formulas Cited sources No trackers Built by hand

We're a small team that cares, maybe a little too much, about getting the math right. Every calculator on this site is traced to a primary source, checked against known values, and written so you can see exactly how the answer is reached.

What we stand for

Three things we care most about

These aren't marketing lines — they're the standard we hold each tool to before it's published.

Accuracy, first and last

Every formula is traced to a primary source — a government agency, an engineering standard, or peer-reviewed work — and checked against reference values where we can before it goes live. If something doesn't add up, we hold it back.

Nothing hidden

The formula, a worked example, the common mistakes, and the sources all live on the page itself. You never have to take our word for a result — you can follow the math and the citations yourself.

Fast and private

No heavy frameworks, no trackers, no ad scripts slowing things down. Calculators run entirely in your browser, load almost instantly, and never send what you type anywhere.

The standard

What "done right" actually means

It would be easy to publish hundreds of thin calculators that each do the bare minimum. Plenty of sites do exactly that. We've chosen the harder path on purpose: a smaller library where every single tool earns its place.

Before a calculator is published, it goes through the same checklist. That's why the library grows slowly, usually one tool at a time. We'd rather have a handful of calculators you can genuinely trust than a thousand you have to second-guess.

The result is a library you can actually trust — where a number isn't just plausible, it's checkable, sourced, and explained.

Who's behind it

A small team that sweats the details

FastCalc is built and maintained by a small group of people who care about getting the math right and explaining it clearly. We work to verify our formulas against primary sources and cite them openly, so the work can be checked rather than simply believed.

We're not anonymous experts hiding behind a brand — and when we get something wrong, we want to know. Corrections are read, verified, and fixed fast.
